One of those moments...

Ever have one of those times where you have virtually NOTHING presentable to wear?
Yeah, that is me right now.
One of the disadvantages of loosing 75 lbs and dropping 6+ sizes. No joke.

Not that I go anywhere but to Dr. appointments, but you still have to look presentable, pajamas(the majority of my wardrobe) don't quite cut it.

I typically love shopping, but its a lot less fun when you have to do it online, and with a very limited(or no) budget.
(Have no idea where I'm going to find affordable, warm, comfortable boots.)

Question of the day- Are UGGs worth the price?? They look marvelous but seriously, the price is absolutely ridiculous!!
If you have had a pair, please let me know what you think!! Thanks!

  1. UGGs are SOOOO UGly!! hehe. I just got finished spending days/nights on end shopping for warm, comfortable, affordable boots online. There are a TON at this cheesy web site: amiclubwear.com

There are tons of affordable, cute boots all over the internet. I didn't end up purchasing anything from there. I've fallen in LOVE with the eskimo pompom fur boots (look them up!) sooo cute. So, I found a pair that fold up into mid-calf boots. So, basically, two boots in one! I bought them for $34 from this site: makemechic.com ... There's really not much to love on that site, aside from their boots...

Anyway, hey! I just started a Lyme blog here & so far you're the only person I follow. Stop by and check it out and let me know who else is fun to follow.

    Good luck with everything!!

  2. Ooh, another idea: This might sound crazy, but more & more places are carrying tranny gear. There are tons of guys out there who want to wear women's boots - the cute kind without heels, even! You should look around & see what you find in that world. haha. Totally crazy-sounding, but I bet you'll find some cute boots! xoxo

  3. Hi again--just wanted to say I'm sorry for not keeping up with your blog! Wordpress recently did a bunch of changes, and now it only alerts you to other WordPress users' updates! How rude! :( Anyway I just realized it's been doing this so I've missed the past few months of updates. *sigh* And try eBay for boots!

  4. I know there are a whole ton of other options out there that are more affordable, and I've tried a few, but I stand by the classic UGGs. Sooo worth it! If you treat them well (waterproof spray and all that happy stuff) they'll last you a long time because they're made so well.

If you do decide to get some, make sure you order them before Christmas gets closer because they become harder and harder to find!

  5. It's best for lymies to have really good support on their feet when they go out, and I've heard that UGGS have crappy arch support. I had PT for awhile at a place that did this method http://posturalrestoration.com/

They have a youtube vid on the site that helps you buy the right shoes/boots. I have a lovely pair of sorrels that I bought (I ordered 8 different shoes/boots last year) from Sierra Trading post. Great prices and great sales quite often. Good luck!
